Mary Jane Killed The Cat:

13 years after Tom Petty released a classic of rock music in the world, the Hamburg band MJKTC prepares to make that call sequence.

The conditions could be worse. After 4 years together, numerous concerts throughout Northern Germany and the storming of several stages, the first, self-titled EP of four boys was published in February 2014. A brief inventory of influences:

The songs sound like a successful blend of Foo Fighters, U2, Oasis, Kings of Leon and a hint of The Who. In addition to the exciting arrangements, the singer has obviously hairstyle technically oriented to the "Godlike Genius" Dave Grohl, the influence of U2 is unmistakable and of the great masters of Britpop, a good dose of melody and song structure is borrowed, even Kings of Leon seem to be with her snotty to have sneaked into the stadium rock vinyl collection of guys.

And The Who? Heard, seen and love. British could be 4 in any case.

But even if the influences are clearly visible, they brew their beer clear itself Specifically, this is reflected in the loud variety of such different-sounding and yet wonderfully harmonious songs again. Drums and bass have the Groove leased for life, played consistently to the point and yet unconventional. Punchy the instruments pumping through the title, always eager to offer the song the necessary foundation. The created sound so developed its own, tense dynamic. Previously: a wall of sound, shaped by rhythm and lead guitar.

The special feature: Despite this large, harmonious and distinctive sound Hydra will always be granted the necessary space for the outstanding melodies, characteristic voice of the singer. This works its way clear through the wall of sound, but not afraid to give the songs in the right places, a healthy dose of dirt along the way. Always committed to the melody, many earwigs stay. Together with a question: "Where do we go from here?". Consequently, where is goes next? The boys will not care, they are ready.

In the great expanse.
