Hailing from Birmingham, the Home of Heavy Metal, QUARTZ have a long and established pedigree in the music industry spanning over five decades. An example of this is their 1977 eponymous debut album which was released on Jet Records and produced by Tony Iommi.

During this time the band gigged extensively honing their craft during major support slots with the likes of AC/DC and Black Sabbath. QUARTZ back catalogue is quite extensive and of a high calibre. Listen to Satan Serenade EP, Stand Up and Fight and Against All Odds LP if you are not already familiar with them.

More recently they have released a further two studio albums Fear No Evil(2016) and On The Edge Of No Tomorrow (2022). The band are currently close to completing the follow up album to OTEONT with hopefully a release date sometime in 2024. The current band line-up still boasts three of the original five founder members in Malcolm Cope (drums), Mick Hopkins (lead guitar) and Dek Arnold (bass) plus they are now rejoined by Geoff Bate on vocals who sang on AAO that was released back in 1983.

Come along and be part of the celebrations and fun at a hometown gig as QUARTZ mark their 50th Year Anniversary with special guests STORMCHILD who were part of the halcyon NWOBHM movement back then and GENERAL JACK who came to fruition a little bit later.
