HIRAX, fronted by the enigmatic powerhouse and general thrash metal legend Katon De Pena, formed back in 1984 in sunny Los Angeles. After recording a few early demos, the band signed to the legendary Metal Blade Records, appearing on the seminal Metal Massacre VI compilation LP....
Also in 1985 - Hirax featured on the very first Earache Records release - a flexi disc entitled 'Anglican Scrape Attic'.
Hirax released their first, and legendary album Raging Violence in 1985....Well, theres more to say, but this band, alongside Celtic Frost, Possessed + Kreator - spearheaded movement - one that still has not be topped to this very day...............
