The Asylum is focused to providing a high quality live environment for bands and customers alike. Focusing on the Rock/Metal/Alternative music genres.
The main room houses a 9m x 5m x 1m stage giving guitarists and vocalists plenty of room to strut their stuff and for drummers there is a fixed 3m x 3m drum riser.
The main room also boasts a brand new EV 12k PA system and a state of the art lighting system that includes 4 macs and 4 scanners as well as an extensive par can arrangement. There is also has a spacious back stage area with fitted toilets, wash basins and a fridge freezer, everything you would expect from a top quality venue.
The Asylum 2 is a smaller more intimate 100 capacity venue that established its self in the local Birmingham music scene under its previous name The Madhouse Bar. Along with many local bands, bigger well known acts such as Blaze Bayley (Iron Maiden) and Dave McPherson (INME) have played The Asylum 2.The Asylum 2 houses a 5mx3m stage a power full PA system that Is fronted by Mackie CFX sound desk and a lighting system with a large array of par cans.
Both the Asylum and The Asylum 2 are privately owned and is run and managed by the Davis family who put a great deal of time, effort and capital into ensuring both venues offer the highest quality of service to both bands and crowds, making sure every gig has amazing atmosphere and is memorable to all that come.
